ILOILO CITY — The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) has warned of a possible "eruptive unrest" at Mount Kanlaon in Negros Island after a heightened seismic activity monitored in the volcano.

Phivolcs reported that since Monday evening, a total of 288 volcano-tectonic (VT) earthquakes were recorded.
