LAWMAKERS from Mindanao expressed sadness after the Supreme Court ruled that Sulu province is not part of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

The Constitution provides that only provinces, cities, and geographic areas voting favorably in the plebiscite shall be included in the autonomous region, hence Sulu, which rejected the ratification of Republic Act 11054, or the Organic Law for the BARMM, was excluded from the region.
