The Senate as a distraction

IT is a long settled constitutional matter that the Congress legislates, the executive executes, and the judiciary interprets the law. A Filipino citizen who violates the law must be held answerable in court, punished if guilty after due process, and protected from harassment by any individual or agency claiming to exercise extrajudicial authority.

This is how it is supposed to work, whether your name is Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, former mayor Alice Guo, or simply Juan de la Cruz. He or she does not have to explain anything to Congress.
