PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed lawyer Joel Anthony Viado as the officer in charge of the Bureau of Immigration (BI), Malacañang confirmed Tuesday.
Viado, deputy commissioner of the BI, took over the post of former immigration chief Norman Tansingco, who was fired by President Marcos Jr. following the escape of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo.
