ROS uses big 4th quarter offense to keep Phoenix winless

MANILA, Philippines — Rain or Shine made a decisive run in the final period to keep Phoenix winless via its 122-107 triumph to close in for a playoff spot in the PBA Season 49 Governors' Cup on Tuesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Aaron Fuller, Caelan Tiongson, Gian Mamuyac and Andrei Caracut joined hands in flipping the switch for ROS, which outscored Phoenix, 35-22 in the payoff canto to pull away for good.
The win was a solid bounce back effort for the Elasto Painters, who are coming off a 113-112 loss to the San Miguel Beermen last week.
ROS, which router Phoenix in the first round, 116-99, improved to 5-1 to lead Group B, inching closer to securing a playoff birth.
The loss was Phoenix's sixth consecutive to remain just one of two squads, that has yet to win in the import-spiced conference. The other squad being Terrafirma, which also carries a 0-6 record in Group A.
Adrian Nocum and Fuller finished with a double-double effort.
The spritely ROS guard scored 16 points and 10 boards, while Fuller also had 16 and 11 rebounds.
Mamuyac added 14, while five other ROS players scored in double figures.
