Journalists told to treat sources with respect

CEBU CITY — The National Union of Journalists of the Philippines (NUJP) Cebu chapter has called for adherence to ethical practices in journalism following a controversial incident involving a local teacher and a media practitioner.

The incident, which has sparked significant debate on social media, occurred after the teacher was accused of assaulting two minor students on Aug. 31, 2024.
