A RECENT podcast of "Preach: The Catholic Homilies Podcast" had Br. Timothy Radcliffe, the former master of the Order of Preachers (OP), as its featured guest. It was no surprise that this podcast went viral on social media. This was largely due to the growing popularity of our Dominican brother as a sought-after theologian, preacher and resource person in retreats and religious conferences.
The title of the podcast cited the very wisdom Radcliffe imparted on preaching: "Don't preach like a know-it-all. Be a searcher, a doubter, a questioner!" The podcast had been much anticipated after Radcliffe's remarkable preaching in a retreat held ahead of the first session of the Synod on Synodality in Rome in October 2023 — a gathering to which he was invited by Pope Francis himself.
