THE Philippine Senate has taken a significant step toward improving labor standards in the country by ratifying the International Labor Organization's (ILO) Labor Inspection Convention, 1947 (No. 81).

Approved on Sept. 3, 2024, the move marks a milestone in the Philippines' commitment to fair and safe working conditions for all Filipino workers.
