National Master Almario Marlon Bernardino Jr. claimed top honors in the amateur section of the 3rd Laos International Chess Open 2024 held at the Parkson@Naga Mall in Vientiane, Laos from September 1 to 6, 2024.
The former top player of Rizal Technological University scored five victories and four draws to finish with 7.0 points and rule the standard chess competition that drew players from seven countries.
