Creamline takes first win in PVL Invitational

MANILA, Philippines — In just two days after taking their ninth title in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), the 2024 Reinforced Conference champions Creamline opened its 2024 Invitational Conference with a win after outplaying the Under-20 EST Cola squad, 25-13, 25-12, 25-15, at the Sta. Rosa Sports Complex in Laguna on Friday, Sept. 6.
Despite having little rest before the new conference started, Creamline displayed a high-caliber performance by fending off the young Thailand club in three dominating sets.

'Of course, I am happy with the result since we did not train yesterday but the team showed a masterful performance. Hopefully, we can keep that same intensity until the end of the season,' head coach Sherwin Meneses said.
Michelle Gumbao led the Cool Smashers with 14 points on 12 attacks, a block, and an ace.
2024 Reinforced Conference and Finals Most Valuable Player Bernadette Pons chipped in 10 points for Creamline.
American import Erica Staunton recorded her lowest scoring so far with Creamline as she only finished with eight points.
The EST Cola squad has no players who scored in double digits as Warisara Seetaloed led her team with seven points.
The Thailand club suffered back-to-back losses after absorbing defeat from the Kurashiki Ablaze and Creamline.
