The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) kicked off the 4th Philippine Film Industry Month (PFIM) with a tribute to National Artist for Film Eddie Romero on September 1 at the Metropolitan Theater. Themed "Tuloy ang Tradisyon ng Pelikulang Pilipino," the event celebrated the enduring legacy of Philippine cinema.

A free screening of Romero's critically acclaimed 1980 film "Aguila" drew a full house, accompanied by a mini-exhibit showcasing his contributions to the industry, marking the start of the month-long celebration.
