JERUSALEM — The United States said on Tuesday it was time to "finalize" an agreement between Israel and Hamas to end the war in the Gaza Strip, after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused to bow to pressure.
Washington would work "over the coming days" with fellow mediators Egypt and Qatar "to push for a final agreement," US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said.
