Doctor in mpox-hit DR Congo asks for vaccines 'as a matter of urgency'
A doctor treating mpox patients at a health center in Kavumu, in the hard-hit east of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) says that the lack of vaccines for people is "a worry" and that they should be provided "as a matter of urgency." UNICEF said Saturday that it has launched an emergency tender for mpox vaccines to help countries hardest hit by the recent outbreak of the disease.
