The recent headline in the NBA was Steph Curry's contract extension, amounting to 62.6 million USD. The one-year extension was the maximum the Golden State Warriors can give to their franchise-player due to a little-known rule in the NBA that restricts teams from offering more than one-year extensions if the contract length reaches the player's 38th birthday (same applies to LeBron who is already past 38).
