Peso edges higher, PSEi flat ahead of August price data

THE currency regained its footing on Wednesday while the stock market ended flat ahead of today's release of August inflation data.

The currency strengthened by 3 centavos to P56.58 against the dollar after opening at P56.53:$1 and ranging from P56.5 to P56.62.
