MERALCO head coach Luigi Trillo said the Bolts have adopted the "next man up" mentality when veteran big man Raymund Almazan, wingman Allein Maliksi and star player Chris Newsome sat out on Wednesday's game against Terrafirma due to an assortment of injuries.
True enough, Meralco's bench made a solid effort of stepping up their game led by Bong Quinto, who buried four triples en route to scoring 22 points while rookie CJ Cansino, who also made four three-point shots, added 16.
