We, the nation, should remember our national heroes and historic events for a purpose

AS a student of political science and observer of political cultures, I prefer to use the phrase "we, the nation" to "we, the people" in personalizing our national community and our republic, although 'we the people' is more often used in the constitutions of liberal democracies and their public statutes.
