SENATORS on Wednesday adopted Senate Resolution 1142 honoring former speaker Jose de Venecia Jr. for his illustrious career and invaluable contributions to the country.
Senate President Francis Escudero said de Venecia "took good care and mentored" most of the current senators when they were still members of the House of Representatives, including Sens. Juan Miguel Zubiri, Joel Villanueva, JV Ejercito, Sherwin Gatchalian, Alan Peter Cayetano, Imee Marcos and Juan Edgardo Angara.
