MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Thursday spotted cloud formations east of the country which may develop into a low pressure area (LPA) and enter the country in the coming days.

In the meantime, Pagasa forecaster Benison Estareja said the southwest monsoon or "habagat" will continue to prevail in most parts of the archipelago, bringing rains and thunderstorms.
