THE Regional Organic Agriculture Congress in its 6th year celebration targeted the strengthening the number of the Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) or PGS-certified organic farms to bolster the organic agriculture industry in the Ilocos Region, according to the Department of Agriculture (DA).
The congress started with a trade fair exhibit at Robinson's Calasiao in Pangasinan province that featured 20 exhibitors from the region over three days from August 22 to 24. The opening event was followed by the plenary session at the Regency Hotel in Pangasinan and continued until August 23.
