National Maritime Council spokesman Vice Admiral Alexander Lopez said it's time to review/revisit the Mutual Defense Treaty (MDT) to adapt to challenges brought by the Philippine-China sea dispute. "The MDT was crafted in 1951 and since then the strategic landscape has changed so much so maybe it's high time now to make a review," Lopez said in a chance interview with Palace reporters.
