9th Philippine International Motor Show slated for October

THE countdown to the 9th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) is officially on, signaled by a press conference held at the Grand Hyatt Manila in BGC on Aug. 19, 2024. With the theme 'Dare. Drive. The Future Redefined,' this year's PIMS promises to showcase the latest automotive innovations, cutting-edge vehicle models, and groundbreaking concept cars.

Seventeen of the 24 members of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (Campi) will be participating in this year's show, offering visitors a comprehensive view of the latest trends and innovations in the industry. The participating brands include BMW, Changan, Chery, Daewoo, Foton, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, Jetour, Kia, Mazda, MG, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki, and Toyota. Campi currently has eight regular members and 16 associate members in its official roster. The group remains committed to driving the local automotive industry toward a future of advanced and inclusive mobility.
As the premier automotive event in the Philippines, the biennial PIMS will spotlight the evolving landscape of the automotive industry, with a special focus on sustainability, innovation, and mobility solutions tailored to the needs of the Filipino market. While most brands were understandably tight-lipped about their displays, electrified mobility is expected to be well represented on the show floor. Kia Philippines Chief Operating Officer Brian Buendia was the only executive to confirm at least one of the vehicles they will showcase: Kia's fully electric 7-seater, the EV9.
BPI continues to be the biggest supporter of PIMS as the show's exclusive auto financing partner. PIMS is an ideal venue for BPI to showcase its auto loan products, given the event's wide appeal among motoring and mobility enthusiasts. BPI offers a diverse portfolio of loan products that cover conventional passenger cars powered by internal combustion engines, electric vehicles, trucks, housing, and personal loans.
'This year's PIMS embodies Campi's bold vision of uniting the automotive industry and leading the way in redefining advanced, inclusive mobility for all Filipinos. We are excited to showcase the innovations that will shape the future of transportation in the country,' said Campi president Rommel Gutierrez.
The 9th Philippine International Motor Show will take place from October 24 to 27, 2024, at the World Trade Center Manila in Pasay City.
