BERLIN — German prosecutors have launched a "terrorist" investigation after a knife attack in the city of Solingen in which three people were killed, a spokesman said Sunday after a 26-year-old Syrian was arrested.

Federal prosecutors have opened an investigation on accusations of "participating in a terrorist organization," a federal prosecution spokesman told AFP.
