ILOILO CITY — The Department of Health – Western Visayas (DoH-6) urged the public to seek medical consultation early as most dengue-related fatalities in the region were the result of late detection and delayed treatment.

DoH-6 reported that as of August 10, the region logged 12,198 dengue cases including 24 fatalities. A total of 2,010 cases and four new deaths were recorded from August 5 to 10.
