Ambassador Endo sends off the 22nd Batch of JDS Fellows

Japanese Ambassador Kazuya Endo hosted on August 16 a send-off ceremony at his residence for the 22nd Batch of the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship by Japanese Grant Aid (JDS) fellows from the Philippines. Twenty JDS scholars are scheduled to leave for Japan to pursue graduate studies at leading Japanese universities.
Among the distinguished guests in attendance were Undersecretary Joseph Capuno of the National Economic and Development Authority, Deputy Assistant Secretary Leah Victoria Carada of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Director Fernando Porio of the Civil Service Commission, Chief Representative Takema Sakamoto of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Philippines, Bernadette Hieida of De La Salle University and Yuna Shimizu of Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE) JDS Project Office in the Philippines.
