NOVELETA, Cavite — The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) clarified that five coastal areas in Cavite are still reeling from the effects of the oil spill from a sunken tanker in Bataan three weeks ago.
According to BFAR's Bataan Oil Spill Bulletin 5 dated August 22, fish caught in the waters of Cavite City, Bacoor City, Noveleta, Rosario and Tanza are not yet safe for human consumption based on the latest analysis made from samples taken from these areas.
