FOR four straight days, the contracted salvor for the sunken MT Terranova off Bataan has been able to siphon off a total of 161,612 liters of oil of the 1.4 million liters of industrial fuel oil that the ship was carrying before it sank last July 25.
In its update report on Friday, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said on August 19, Harbor Star Shipping Services Inc. collected 2,350 liters of oil; 36,100 liters on August 20; 42,026 liters on August 21; and 81,136 liters on August 22.
