Navy's Vincent Neil Cena of John B. Lacson and Colleges Foundation-Bacolod City and Francois Marie Magpily of De La Salle University topped the individual standard chess competition of the 2024 Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) Games National Championships held at Cavite State University in Indang, Cavite.
Cena defeated Adam Verk Moncal Ebro in the final round to finish with 5.5 points and win the men's gold medal over Navy teammate Ezekiel Marino of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, who scored 5.0 points for the silver.
