DILG expects 'violence' ahead of midterm polls

ILOILO CITY — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) stepped up efforts to maintain peace and order in anticipation of potential violence leading up to the 2025 midterm elections.

'What we are doing right now is anticipating violence,' said Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos in Iloilo on Wednesday.
