MANILA, Philippines — Yeng Guiao is confident that Rain or Shine's offseason roster upgrade, along with the inclusion of come backing import Aaron Fuller have put the Asian Coating franchise in a better position to contend for the PBA Season 49 Governors' Cup championship.

First round picks Caelan Tiongson and Felix Lametti came out with solid efforts in their PBA debut, while last season's third overall pick Luis Villegas had a decent showing in the brief moment he had on the floor as Rain or Shine dominated Blackwater, 110-97 in their Season 49 debut game on Tuesday.
