There must be consequences for Chinese aggression

IN what is becoming a depressingly regular occurrence, another violent clash between Philippine and Chinese Coast Guard vessels occurred on Monday, resulting in serious damage but, fortunately, no injuries aboard two Philippine Coast Guard ships, the BRP Bagacay and the BRP Cape Engaño. It is our position, which we have expressed on multiple occasions, that the only path to a sustainable, peaceful solution to the West Philippine Sea conflict is through restraint, dialogue and observance of international law.
