TOYOTA Gazoo Racing (TGR) announced recently a significant upgrade to the GR86, enhancing its turning performance and making it easier to handle at the upper limits, further deepening the unique driving experience that the GR line is known for. The upgraded GR86 is now available for order, but currently only in Japan.

The upgrades to the GR86 are deeply rooted in Toyota's extensive motorsports experience, where TGR actively competes with the GR86 in various racing series. The insights gained from these high-pressure environments have been instrumental in refining the vehicle's performance. Among the key enhancements is the improved shock absorber damping characteristics, which provide a more connected feel to the road. This refinement ensures that drivers can experience better feedback and control, particularly during aggressive cornering, while still enjoying the direct handling response that the GR86 is famous for.
