MANILA, Philippines — A bronze medal finish at the SEA V. League is certainly a good start for Alas Pilipinas men's team preparing for the FIVB World Championships next year at home.

New Alas coach Angiolino Frigoni of Italy made this known on Sunday, August 18 following Alas' defeat to Thailand, 26-28, 14-25, 16-25, at the conclusion of the SEA V. League first leg at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium, where the nationals won one of its three matches enough for a third place finish.
