During a Senate session on Wednesday, August 7, Senator Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. paid tribute to the late veteran film producer and Philippine entertainment icon Lily Yu Chu-Monteverde, more affectionately known as "Mother Lily." Monteverde passed away on August 4 at the age of 85.
In Revilla's resolution, which the Senate adopted, the chamber expressed its profound sympathy and sincere condolences on the demise of Monteverde. The resolution also recognized her magnificent talent and legendary artistry, which greatly contributed to the country's arts and culture, especially in the film industry.
