AS part of its information dissemination efforts, the Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) holds its midyear press conference with media partners to provide an update on the agency's action plans that address the country's most pressing labor and employment issues at the DoLE Central Office in Intramuros, Manila on August 9, 2024.

Led by DoLE Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma, the press conference discussed key findings from the June 2024 Labor Force Survey; updates on the recovery efforts for workers affected by Typhoon Carina and the oil spill in Bataan; the status of the ongoing profiling and plans to support workers affected by the nationwide ban on internet gaming licensees; and the progress of regional minimum wage consultations.
