MANILA, Philippines — Security at the Butuan Airport was intensified after receiving a bomb threat on Thursday afternoon.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) on Friday said that Butuan Airport Police Station (BAPS) received a text message at 5:14 p.m. indicating that a bomb had been placed in the airport's comfort room, boarding area, and in the baggage checked in on flights from Cebu and Manila.
