THURSDAY, August 8, we Filipinos celebrated Asean Day 2024 "to commemorate the 57th anniversary of the establishment of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations." On that morning this year, "Secretary-General of Asean Dr. Kao Kim Hourn officiated the celebration at the Asean Hqts/Asean Secretariat. Celebrated annually, August 8 Asean Day "marks the founding of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean)" in 1967 with "the signing of the Asean Declaration, also known as the Bangkok Declaration."
