IN the aftermath of the Great Resignation, the Great Reshuffle, the Great Regret and the Great Rehiring, there was some quiet in the workplace. Attrition rates were lower, but employee engagement and productivity didn't seem to improve.

During the years 2021 and 2022, the Gen Ys or Millennials were quick to look for another job if they didn't like their employer or the pay or didn't think they fit into the organization's culture. Pressured by the pandemic and wanting more work-life balance, Millennials were three times more likely than older workers to leave their jobs. Hence, the Great Resignation in the US and Europe.
