ILOILO CITY — The Department of Health – Western Visayas (DoH-6) ramped up efforts to address the alarming rise in dengue cases that have reached 10,188 from January to August 3 in the region this year.

In a virtual press conference on Monday, Dr. Bea Natalaray of the Infectious Disease Section of DoH-6 said Western Visayas logged an additional 1,743 new dengue cases in just one week.
