THE Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) is rolling out some P300 million in initial funding for its emergency employment program to help oil spill-hit workers in Luzon.

Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma said over the weekend that the DoLE has already released P45 million for the affected families in Bataan, including the temporary employment for 1,357 workers under the department's Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (Tupad) program for the setting up and placement of organic oil spill booms.
