BAGUIO CITY — The proposed mega-redevelopment of the Baguio public market in the heart of the city by a private firm will not displace the thousands of vendors in the Summer Capital.

In a public consultation at the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center on Friday, August 9, Mayor Benjamin Magalong clarified that contrary to claims, there's no deal yet between the city government and SM Prime Holdings, the holder of the original proponent status (OPS) for the proposed modernization of the city public market.
