The 2024 offseason saw many headlines and player movements. Paul George left L.A. for Philadelphia, Klay Thompson left his team of 13 seasons to join another contender, and Mikal Bridges joined his former Villanova teammates in New York. But there were a few other trades that went under the radar but bolstered the chances of their new teams. Here are some impact signings:
Gary Trent, Jr. (Milwaukee Bucks) – The Bucks were fortunate to get the 25-year-old-guard who has career averages of 14.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists on 39% three-point shooting on a one-year veteran's minimum. Trent earned $18.6 million last season and wanted $25 million yearly from Toronto who offered only $15 million. Despite the pay cut, Trent will have a chance to contend in the East and make his stock rise.
