BACOLOD CITY — The Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) has urged local hog raisers in Negros Occidental to remain vigilant against the African swine fever (ASF), citing the usual spike of ASF cases during the rainy season.
PVO chief Dr. Placida Lemana said the rainy season and the flooding make it easier for the virus to spread.
