PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has named two new national scientists for their achievements in the fields of genetics, nematology and plant pathology, Malacañang said on Friday.
Through Proclamations 642 and 643, the President bestowed the honor on Carmencita David Padilla and Romulo Gelbolingo Davide, respectively, upon the recommendation of Science and Technology Secretary Renato Solidum.
