CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — The Mimaropa (Mindoro Occidental and Oriental, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) region is among the top peaceful provinces in the country, the Philippine National Police (PNP) here said.

During the regular media forum 'Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas' of the Presidential Communications Office facilitated by the Philippine Information Agency, PNP regional director Gen. Roger Quesada told members of media that based on the PNP Nationwide Crime Statistics, Mimaropa is among the safest region in the country, ranking third with the lowest crime incidents for the period of Jan. 1 to June 30, 2024.
