ILOILO CITY — Transport cooperatives here asked the government to exempt the city's implementation of its enhanced Local Public Transport Route Plan (LPTRP) from the potential suspension of the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP) implementation.

The Western Visayas Alliance of Transport Cooperatives and Corporations Inc. (WVATCCI), representing 14 transport cooperatives with over 3,000 operators, warned that the proposed suspension would "cause more harm than good."
