MANILA, Philippines — A police officer was killed during a rescue mission conducted by the Philippine National Police in Pampanga on Sunday.
A report released on Monday said that PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group director Brig. Gen. Cosme Abrenica hatched the rescue operation after China's Police Attache Zheng Zhue informed them of the kidnapping of two Chinese.
