Japan provides mobile X-ray machine for Aeta communities

Second Secretary Tokiko Nishimura represented the Embassy of Japan during the official turnover of a mobile X-ray machine to the Center for Health Innovations and Solutions (CHSI, Inc.) and the City of Olongapo, Zambales on August 1.

The event was graced by Olongapo City Mayor Rolen C. Paulino Jr., Managing Director of CHSI Inc. Carmina Aquino, Takashi Miyako of Fujifilm Philippines Inc., and other local government unit officials including representatives from the Aeta community.

With the new mobile X-ray machine, Olongapo City will be able to conduct active TB case finding and provide comprehensive healthcare services to the Aeta community and the urban poor.
