MANILA, Philippines —Filipina boxer Nesthy Petecio advanced to the semifinals of the Paris Olympics women's 57kg boxing after beating Xu Zichun of China at the North Paris Arena on Sunday evening (Manila time).
Petecio secured herself a bronze medal after scoring a unanimous decision over Chinese foe, 30-27, 29-28, 30-27, 30-27, 29-28.
