INVESTMENTS in the Asean have grown tremendously in the last few years due to Southeast Asia and the Philippines being seen as a region mostly characterized as having stability compared to others with nearby wars, a growing population and an income level, and therefore, market growth.

Furthermore, it is advantaged by being a major recipient of the outward flow of supply chains from China and, consequently, of investments from Europe, the US and China itself. It is also logistically close to a base for the world's greatest market growth triangle of China, Asean and India.
